About Me
I have owned many dogs and cats over the years, each one teaching me a little more about the fascinating lives of animals. I currently share my home with three rescue dogs and also foster and assess dogs for rehoming in suitable permanent homes.
After spending three years studying human psychotherapy, I decided to explore the exciting world of animal behaviour and have attained an Advanced Diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour and Training through COAPE, an internationally recognised and accredited training provider.
Based in Frome, Somerset, I offer consultations throughout Somerset, Wiltshire, North Dorset, South Glos. and B&NES.
I believe that like humans, animals do not respond well to negative experiences, therefore, I only use kind, effective, reward based methods to modify behaviour and do not endorse any punitive methods such as: electric shock collars and choke chains.
Some people are a little nervous about appointing a behaviourist due to past negative, patronising experiences they have encountered with other pet professionals. I take my professional responsibility for the welfare of my clients just as seriously as their animals, and would encourage you to call me to discuss your case if you are in any doubt.
